Good!
Celia cooked lovely risotto and then we decided to go see a gig at the Lot on the Grassmarket of a woman called Yvonne Lyon whose album I have and two other people, one of whom (David Ferrar) I saw before in December supporting Lucy Kaplansky (unfortunately, he wasn't very good). The gig was sold out so we went to the Beehive just up the road and had a drink, while several hen nights passed by and loud music and singing along from next door, so we went back to the Lot's very nice cafe for coffee/hot chocolate and I stole much of Ben and Celia's mezze platter. We then took a taxi up to Nicol Edwards in search of their cinema, but apparently it's waterlogged, so we went down to Bannermans and had a drink there instead, which was quite pleasant.
It was very nice to be out.
I have had a small epiphany that I hope will make things better, which is that I have kinda been gauging how much exercise I can do by when the pain really starts to build up and become unbearable, which means every time I do exercises I end up in a lot of pain, which is probably not doing me any favours. So I'm going to make sure I stay well within my capability and do smaller amounts of exercise more often, rather than knocking myself out at once.
Sven, just now: "I've just had the most selfish thought ever: I want you to be better so you'll be more entertaining."
