Today I have been putting many CDs onto my shiny new laptop. And my mama and my Oma made oliebollen which are loooovely, especially when made with apple. And then I spoke on the phone to the lovely Owen and Mr Fred and Gareth.

I have also been considering the fact that I didn't check whether this dye is permanent or not. I guess I'll find out.

Last night we started playing Boggle but then decided that since my Oma can't play we would sit and watch TV instead. Yes, well. We celebrated with a glass of Martinelli's and some spekkoek and some ice cream with chocolate sauce, and watched the this time zone fireworks. And then went to bed. It was extremely unexciting. But we did watch Spirited Away, which I thought was wonderful. I hadn't seen it before. I quite want it now, but I think that may be rather due to my newfound DVD fervour supplied by owning two of the DVDs I really really wanted. So, yeah, if any of you have a hankering for some Whale Rider / Batteries Not Included watchin', wibble. Or something.

I was very pleased to speak to Owen. I was pleased to speak to Fred and Gareth too, but, y'know. Vomitous business, eh.

Yay I love Fried Green Tomatoes. :D Actually, anything with Jessica Tandy in it. You should come over when I get back and we can watch it, or I could go visit you instead (I haven't seen your place yet). Happy New Year! *hug* Whale Rider is goooood. I have seen it three times since the summer, soon to be increased exponentially.

I got given Whale Rider the book from a random person in New Zealand that I sent Peyton books to before Christmas :)

Also, me I want to see Batteries Not Included at some point, to see if the film it makes me think of is the right film :>

Benjamin has the book too. I am excited to read it because books are generally better than films and the film was so wonderful, so it must actually grab you in and take you swimming with whales.

And yes! When you come to Edinburgh we shall watch Batteries Not Included. It is lovely.
