Aug. 7th, 2008 08:48 amI love the Overseas Vote Foundation. That was very easy indeed.
Tonight 5pm Adriana is playing at the Fringe (Acoustic Music Centre at St Bride's, and there are 2-for-1 tickets available for mailing listers (as I am - 7squid or 5 concessions). Anyone interested? I have to request tickets before 3pm.
Today will mostly be spent reading up about plants for the event on Saturday, which has been going on for the entirety of this week: Grown in Scotland, a sort of celebration of traditional uses of Scottish plants which actually means go along and they will feed you elderflower cordial. I am hoping to beef it up a little with some more old-fashioned uses and fables.
Oh, which reminds me, I have agreed to do some publicising for the Romeo and Juliet production in the Garden. I've signed up for two nights and a matinee of overtime to usher it (mooooolaaaah):
The Globe Theatre's Romeo and Juliet, performed on Inverleith House Lawn in the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. 5 stars from the Herald on Sunday. 15squid, 10 concessions. Bring something to sit on and a picnic! The cafe will be open for snacks and drinks. Matinee: Wed 20th & Sat 23rd 2:30-4:45pm. Evening: Tue 19-Sat 23rd 7:30-9:45pm. Tickets from Fringe Box Office.
There. That's my of-no-particular-moral-direction deed for the day.
