Jan. 26th, 2007 04:26 pmTurns out I have way too much time on my hands.
Of course, there are things that I could be doing. Here's a sample:
* Writing to people asking them to be my new supervisor at extra short notice because my current one hasn't written to me in over two months.
* Writing articles for the EcoSoc newsletter
** Communism and Conservation
** Who's Afraid of Michael Markels?
*** I've started this one. So far I have: "Global warming is bad."
** Waquoit Bay
** The Dark Side of Organic Farming
** Vegetarians are Eating the Rainforests
** India’s Indigenous Knowledge Database
** Uses of common Scottish flora and fauna
** Why the Kakapo Matters
** Species Thriving Under Global Warming
** The Fur Trade – Will Banning Help?
** The Environmental Impacts of War
** Persistent Non-Stick Materials
** What Happens to Recycled Waste in the USA?
** Where Does the Environment Fit Into Bhutan’s Gross National Happiness?
** How Inaccessible is Inaccessible Is. to Invasives?
* Completing the modelling exercises we were given
* Signing up to a SUDS type for my Land Use and Water Resources course project
* Writing to WaBNERR to see if they want volunteers
* Writing to Holyrood Park to finalise monitoring stuff
* Writing my EcoSoc talk about volunteering in Edinburgh
* Volunteering in Edinburgh
* Finding out about working holiday visas in NZ
* Fine-tuning my dissertation plan
* Actually talking to people
* Etc.
I lack motivation right now, to say the least. But when I feel a twinge, maybe this list will come in useful.
