Bonjour! I hope that all of you who celebrate it had a lovely Christmas yesterday. I did. Man oh man, did we eat. I made pumpkin bread for the first time ever, and it was good. And I made St. Nick's cookies, and they were good. And there were three kinds of stuffing, and the two that I could eat were good. And there were games and things, and they were good.

And now for the loot! )

First we sang carols (which failed to wake up Benjamin, although apparently he dreamt that Christmas carols were being sung into his ear), and baked cookies and laid out the table with cookies and pumpkin bread and stollen and kerstkrans. Then we had scrambled eggs and Pilsbury scones and opened all the presents and sat around for a bit. And then our cousins came over and we cooked dinner and ate it. We had turkey for the carnivores, goat's cheese souffle, three kinds of stuffing, brussel sprouts, roast potatoes (white and blue!), roast parsnips, salad, cranberry sauce and a meat gravy and an oniony wine gravy. Yumyumyum. And then we sat down and watched Whale Rider, and ate spekkoek, and then played Boggle, and went to sleep. It was a good day. :)

The end.

(I finished that book about Chinese legends and things, and it was okay. Not exactly gripping, but the actual legends were faboo. The science and Africa book is so far wonderful.)

Woossshhhhh. I am made of blur.

We are going to go bring my Oma to the airport tomorrow - she is going to Las Vegas for a few days - and afterwards, we're going to spend the day in San Francisco or something. And then after that we're going to spend a day at Lake Tahoe. Exciting, yes.

This morning I woke up starving. Good thing there was my own weight in leftovers to be eaten.
