Dec. 27th, 2005 11:12 pmI have been through my Oma's stuff that was passed down to my parents while watching Pretty Persuasion (I advise against it) and now I smell of the perfume she never wore.
I also finished The Golden Ass which I might recommend if you like both classical mythology and Carry-On films. I enjoyed it, but I always do. Next stop the Aeneid.
And on food:
- Spekkoek is my favourite cake. It is decided.
- My mother has promised pirozhki for New Year.
- I have already finished all the vegetarian Christmas dinner leftovers.
- I believe the matzo balls have also been entirely eaten.
We also went to San Luis widlife refuge earlier for a brief perambulation, and it is absolutely wonderful. We saw a kite or something, and lots of avocets. We'll be going back tomorrow for a nice long walk. Hilmar cheesecake on the way back but no cow-shaped cheese. Lament.
